You need to watch the Popular (TV shows) videos of people, if you convert to a different file format, you lose quality.

HDV TO FLV > lose quality
HDV TO DVD > lose quality
HDV TO MPEG > lose quality
HDV TO BLURAY > lose quality

How to convert HDV videos 1440 x 1080 without loss of quality?

IMHO HDV is a MPEG-2 so there is no need to convert from HDV to the BD (and MPEG = DVD = common situation when converting HD to the SD)

BD officially does not support 1440 x 1080 for MPEG2 (AVC/VC1 only):

Good quality work "very important for me". I don't want to lose quality.
Thanks!

1st post once had a link. Link had been moderated. Now it's there again. And has nothing to do with your question. While the question doesn't want to make much sense to me, anyway.

Know any words that start with "SP" and end with "AM"?

@domina

You better read and follow our rules if you want to stay around.

But MPEG-2 decoder support this.

IMO until size is within limits there is no problem and at least i would try to check.

The only way to convert(???; to what?) HDV without quality losses is to use a second camcorder and to copy the tape through firewire.

Everything else requires a new recoding of the video content.
