first of all, i hope i'm on the right forum for this question, sorry if i'm not ...
i got region 1 and region 2 dvd, but can't play both on my computer ... does anybody know how to kill the 'thing'(?!) that recognise the region on my dvd player ... please ...i'm affraid i can't afford bying two dvd players ;-)
and ... while i'm there, i've got a completely different question : i know there is some king of plug in for windows media player that kills freeze frames, but i can't remember how it's called, and where to find it... anybody knows ?

* Use DVD Genie to hack software DVD player
* Find a hack for hardware DVD decoder if You use one
DivX AntiFreeze is the util You are looking for.

I think the BIOS mentioned above is the firmware of your drive, try looking under the guides on Doom9's site there should be a region free guide there.

well, i've been to that site, but i can't find the firmware of pioneer 115 1.12, they have a lot of them, but not this one (they have the 115 1.11 can I try with this one ?)

According to a guide I read regarding this topic, if you do it
WRONG the first time, your DVD-Rom drive will be damage.
Be very careful.

It should work fine.just read the instructions carefully and make sure you get the ide channel your drive is on right!

you will also be needing a program to actually change the region for you, i would recommend dvd region killer from the same author as cloneCD or DVDgenie
