For the average user ... there is no need to edit the avs script. I have been dabbling with modifying the script and I usually use a pre saved script using a copy/paste. This means that I have to be at the PC either after DVDAVI or just before encoding. It would be very useful if the script could be loaded from an external file while configuring rip.:(
