SVCD to DVD??

I want to re-encode some SVCD discs back to a DVD-R using a DVR-A03..

Is this possible so the disc will play in a standard DVD player??

My ability to do this will dictate whether I buy the drive or not so I would especially appreciate any replies where this has been accomplished successfully :D

Re-encoding will get you nothing, except a worse picture.

The only thing you can do is to combine the mpeg's into one from the disks. Other then that not much difference.

Ask the guys in the DVD forum. They are better able to answer this then us. You can't use DVD2SVCD to make DVD's from SVCD's.
