help with cce freezes on avi2svcd!

okay now im converting the Emperors new groove divx to svcd with dvd2svcd and on the first pass it goes through to get the vaf file... on the first pass to encode it stops at 33% it only completes the first pass then it freezes...

my bitrates are 2200 max min 1000 max avg 1800
i tried using the defaults and it freezes too... even let it run 6 hours after the freeze and it was not done...

fresh install of 1.0.6 build 2 pre 2

is there a better version out? am i using the wrong version? WHY ME! there are so many that do not have this problem....

i even re tried with a two pass and it freezes at 50% or less one time at 50% another time it just stopped at about 20% into encoding...

This sounds like the same old CCE issue.

Try increasing the number of cd's used. As you can see in the log the Avg is only 1266. CCE might be having a problem with that low a bitrate. It's only a guess, but give it a shot.

im not sure

my average max in dvd2svcd is at 1900... and ive tried it at defaults and 2200 max and 2080 max avg... ive tried different mins im about to try max avg at 1500 and see if that works...... yeah its the avg cce problem and its one bitch of a problem to solve!

maybe i need to increase min to 1500 or something... crazy but if it works!

i thinking of going back versions too and see if a copy before 1.0.6 works... and reinstall everything!

this is an odd problem and i wish there was a solution even if it was
long and a work around... the safe mode does not work for me!
