View Full Version : GraphEdit plays graph file, WMPlayer does not

Hello everybody!

I have to use graph file to play my AVI files, because I am muxing in
two stereo channels for front and rear speakers (details are available from
DOOM9 guide).

The problem is that such graph file plays fine (when renamed *.AVI) by
WM Player under Win2k but does not do it under Win98. I have the same
version of WMP - 7 on both system. GraphEdit under Win98 plays this file
OK, but WMP complaining that it is of "Cannot playback file. The format is
not supported".

I do not see why WMP would not play file which GraphEdit does. I've
tried to look through registry for relevant keys and found nothing.

If anybody has some pointers please advice.

TIA,
Alex.

you have to run wmp player with the graph file as parameter. something like "mplayer2.exe yourfile.grf". don't rename it to .avi.

Thank, saVe, I will check. But renaming to AVI works just fine under Win2k...

... maybe win2k is more intelligent :p
