View Full Version : How to remove the audio stream from an MKV?

For AVIs, in VDubMod 1.5.10.2 one can disable the audio stream then do a Direct Stream Copy of the video and save an AVI which contains just the video stream.

Is there a program which can do this with an MKV file? (using AVIdemux 2.5.2, there seems to be no way to simply disable the audio stream, nor to save the video stream without reprocessing it. And VDubMod does not handle MKV properly)

TIA

MKVtoolnix, or AVI-Mux GUI.

I agree with Midzuki with MKVtoolnix. Just open the mkv file with it and highlight the audio stream and click remove. Then you can remux the video without the audio.
