hi everybody,

i wonder, is there any way to set "keyframe" property in GKnot, as I did when I used DivX4.xx directly?

thanks!

Hi-I'm not sure what you mean by

"keyframe" property

But you can change the spacing easily or set them manually. In the Stats File Editor, under Keyframes, you can reset Minimum and Maximum, and then push Clear followed by Auto to redo the spacing.

Isn't the stats file editor just for SBC Divx 3?

I'm pretty sure Alex is looking for DivX 4 keyframe management.

to jggimi: maybe it's called "keyframe management" , i'm not sure. but it's definitely a kind of parameter I used with DivX4.xx encoders.

to clarify the "name" issue, I can add that I meant a max.number of frames (deltaframes?) between 2 keyframes. pardon my french. :D

to manono: I've never used stat files, since I was sure that they are only for DivX3. if i'm wrong, could anybody give a link to some kind of documetation/FAQ where I can read about it? because there's nothing about stat-files, nor keyframes in Doom9's documents (but they were pretty nice for start ;) )

Doom9 does have a guide for using the stats file editor and manual keyframe adjustment in Divx3.

Click on:

The Guides
DivX Guides
DivX3.x
Gordian Knot
Old Gknot Guide (just above "Step 2: Splitting")
Gordian Knot (inside "Step 4")

Whew!

You can't change maximum keyframe for DivX4 in GKnot, because you can't edit the codec properties manually. GKnot always uses it with a default value, which is a good one anyway.
