A recently encoded Blade Runner PAL with GKnot + Div 3.11...It's a very noisy film(and old and good :) )...But I got about 100 frames like this one..Why? Can i fix that(by reencoding in some way??)

my only guess is that maybe the disc is scratched? Because usually when your playing a dvd thats dirty you get picture break up, might be right...

Before re-encoding, try upping the bitrate by a few hundred and previewing it as a frameserv. If the blocks go away maybe you need a higher bitrate (?).

This is from my DivX encoding...I saw the whole movie from the DVD and it was ok...My bitrate is tha maximum (ie 100% first pass size)...It a very compressible movie...

Are you using sharp bicubic?If you do try neutral or soft bicubic.

Yes.I used sharp bicubic and TemporalSmother(2,1).I'll try neutral..

No.I have never used anti-shit..To be honest i don't know the correct values...Is the default values of GKnot good??

they would be worth trying...good values kinda vary from source to source. try the default ones, if it doesnt work too good ask over in the Nandub forums
