Can someone recommend a tool that allows you to edit/trim a Bluray rip with re-encoding? Example I've got the main M2TS file ripped and I want to trim the first chapter (studio warnings, etc) or another example trimming off the ending credits to save space, etc. I'm having a hard time finding a tool that will let me do this.
I've even tried having MakeMKV convert the main movie file into MKV container in the hopes that something like MKVToolnix or tsMuxer would let me de-select chapters and save a new file the way DVD based tools let me do, but no dice.
If anyone's ever used DVD2One, one of the greatest features is the ability to remove chapters and even seamlessly join multiple title sets into one, so I'd love to find an equivalent for Bluray and/or MKV files that at least lets me trim.

tsMuxeR has the option to trim/cut. Open the GUI, go to Split&Cut and check [x] Enable cutting, then set the desired times to cut from the start and at the end.

thanks for the tip dean. i'll try to use that in conjunction with playback software so I can see where exactly it needs to be cut. i guess the ultimate would be an editor that had a preview window where you could set your start and end points visually, but it sounds like that doesn't exist yet.
anyone remember h.264 TSCutter? that was great for MPEG2 .TS files.

Then you can use multiAVCHD. :)
There is a [properties] button in the main gui page which allows you to do a lot of things with your file:

tried it, its an interesting tool but still not exactly what i'm looking for because i want to retain chapter points. really all i'm after is a tool that lets me drop chapters (and I mean video rather than chapter information) without re-encoding, similar to what you can do with DVDDecrypter or DVD2One -- simply deselecting the chapters you don't want in the output file.
for now i'll check out multiAVCHD.
