Hello everyone,
There are several rumors going around that the AVI splitter provided by team MPC-HC has bugs or issues when compared to the default windows one and haali.
We have had not serious reports of these issues and would like to get these reports.
Lets find out if any of this is true so we can fix these problems.

the only problem I have with the avi splitter is that sometimes when skipping in a file it gets stuck on a frame and you have to move the seekbar again to get the video. It is much better than WMP12-64bit's splitter though. Haali was problematic with some avi files you can find the detailed haali issue by looking at some of my old posts

If you run into a small sample where you predictably get the hang on seek we can try to find the cause.

can you move my post to the new thread? No, because it is a crosspost of an existing post. I have deleted your duplicate and responses to it in this thread. If you need a thread moved, please ask a mod, don't just violate rule 8 and say you hope it is OK.

I think these rumors come from a tooltip. I think at some time a tooltip appeared: "might be buggy", but maybe I mix up with MPEG2 decoder... :/
Maybe it's also because of this window which sometimes appears (a graph showing red and blue lines).
In my case, I've had to disable this internal splitter because there's a bug with new great autochange fullscreen mode added by X-Dron, which prevents to start immediately when AVI internal splitter is used.
But I'm sure if I was a good boy and report this bug in tracker, X-Dron would fix it in 2 seconds. I'll try to motivate myself and report this bug.
