We have gotten some reports, that many users are sticking to the original MPC because MPC-HC has some problems with stuff that works fine in MPC
We would like to know what is forcing to use a different for so we can work on those problems in MPC-HC.
I do not want to discuss the GUI in this thread, so if that is the reason for using the other fork please dont mention it here.

I am using mpc-hc right now but I was using the original mpc because mpc-hc had DXVA enabled by default which caused some 720p videos to stutter on my 8400M GS/T7250 notebook. I only switched when I realized that I could disable the DXVA codec and use the ffmpeg one until my card becomes more compatible with the DXVA (I don't know if the bug was on the driver side, 195.62 series, or on mpc-hc's end)

Can you try a nightly build and report back?

EDIT: Doesn't stutter with DXVA using the MS Win 7 decoder so I guess it is not my card but MPCHC

Allright, please open a ticket on the issue tracker.
I will forward it to the dxva devs

Is it possible to have a theater mode so that all major options are easily visible even when I'm sitting away from my TV? The EVR progress bar looks very nice, but could we add more functions to that so we can change audio track or subtitle for example?
I think most people prefer media center because it's easier to operate on TV.
Thanks.

Thanks.Does any other mpc fork offer these features?
You can add a feature request for it, see this document:

Nope, only commercial players and media center (XBMC and Mediaportal) provide these features, and I know a lot of people use them just because of that.
But maybe it's not relevant topic for now.
