I am using cce ver 2.50.01.00, dvd2svcd ver 1.0.6 build 1
Trying to make an SVCD of Scary Movie PAL, I'm afraid I'm new to all this but not to computers. I looked through the various forums and followed the instructions for dvd2svcd on this site.
Cheers

Can't remember if this was the build i had a problem with missing files or not..but when i did have that problem i just unistalled dvd2svcd then i reinstalled dvd2svcd then rebooted. after that i would do a search for the vaf file..see if you can find the file if you can just move it to the directory it should be in
Then do a crash recovery.......
also under the Misc tab make sure "don't delete anyfiles" has a check mark next 2 it
I'm going so assume you know how 2 search for the vaf file..

open the avs file with media player. If it is ok - the movie should be playing - open the same avs file with notepad and copy it here. Capisco?

What is your computer? More to the point what CPU do you have?

OK Hold fire for the moment  we may have lift off.
In reply to the above possibilities,
1)the vaf file did not exist,
2)loading the avs in media player, kinda works, images but no audio, is this normal ?
3)don't delete files is ticked
4)Running Win2000 Prof, Pentium III, 733mhz
Finally
I've been out shopping today and have upgraded my ram from 128mb to 512mb, installed it run crash recovery and things are now moving along and the CCE_Video_Information_File.vaf is been saved as I write this, fingers crossed it's looking good.

Yes its normal not 2 have audio if you load the avs file in Media Player.
And yes running windows 2000 with 128 megs of ram while trying 2 encode using CCE might cause more problems then its worth. So that was a smart move upgrading....good luck.
