Is there a newer, better way to extract VobSub (SUB/IDX) format subtitles from a DVD?

You can extract them with many rippers/demuxers then convert them to idx/sub. Like here->http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/286929-sup-to-idx-sub.

I often get SUP files from the DVD on the hard drive using PGCDemux, and then instantly convert those SUP files to VobSubs using SubtitleCreator. Another way to get VobSubs from the DVD on the hard drive is with VSRip.

You had to click also on the links to see what I was talking about. As Bdsup2sub ist a GUI to several generic tools.
