Hello all,

Apologies if this is an old topic or has been answered already...I did some searches and couldn't find anything.

I have 2 DVD-Audio discs ripped to my hard drive that I need to decrypt. My intention is to decrypt the AOB files and burn the DVD-Audio structure on to a disc and play in my Oppo universal player.

I downloaded dvdcpxm.exe and tried to decrypt an AOB file on my hard drive. But when I try to run it, I get the following:

D:\Burn\dtscds\sting\STING_BRAND_NEW_DAY\AUDIO_TS>"c:\Program Files\dvdcpxm\dvdcpxm.exe" ATS_01_1.AOB d:\
Simple DVD-Audio AOB/VOB Decrypter

Processing media key block...
Error: Check if media is loaded in drive D:

I don't really want to rip each individual track and rebuild the DVD-Audio...I'd rather just decrypt the AOB files into decrypted AOB files and burn the DVD-Audio structure without re-authoring.

I tried DVDFab, but the free version on their website doesn't do anything when I tell it to process the directory (or I get error codes 100, etc)

Thanks everyone,

Chris

Well, I just tried decrypting from a burned copy of the files...and I got the following, even though there's an MKB file in the AUDIO_TS directory:

Unprotected media in drive E:, nothing to do!

It seems it is not encrypted.

But it is...there's an MKB file in the AUDIO_TS directory, and when I bring it up in DVD-Audio Explorer, it says "encrypted stream".

Reading the second paragraph of your first post, it sounds like you're trying to use the aforementioned tools on ripped files or an image.

Can you use the tools with the original discs?
