View Full Version : Blended Source Problem

Hi,

I have a really funny source I have not come across before. The picture below is after being deinterlaced with tomsmocomp.

http://i48.tinypic.com/b80aas.png

As you can see after deinterlaceing (with tomsmocomp) it is causing a ghosting artifact. I was told by someone to try Restore24, But I could not get it function, so instead I have tried Srestore which did not seem to make much of a difference (It is still happening, although not as much).

I have also tried deinterlacing with LeakKernel but it is still causing the weird artifact.

Any ideas how I could fix this problem.

Cheers.

Could be blended fields, try

separateFields()

on the non-deinterlaced source. (then take a look at on-site, field blended threads)

:)

Cheers for the reply.

What do you mean by that line?

Post a link to a sample. No one should have to guess.

Sorry, "one site" should have read "on-site".

@lokie538,

I notice a few people putting url's inside code blocks recently. This is very annoying because you cannot click on them.

Please do not :-

Instead please do :-

Or maybe even this if you want the block highlighting

@IanB

No problem aye... I just know lots of sites when don't want to be linked. Fixed now.

Download sites live for people linking to them, this is how they get there add revenue.

But yes, other more regular sites can be touchy, but mostly about links directly into the middle of their site (i.e. leaching). For them linking to their home page, and then providing navigation instructions is usually well tolerated.

As an aside, the reason I always ask where people download stuff from is because of build problems, i.e. for Avisynth, official version 2.5.8, alpha version 2.6.0, TSP's version, SEt's version, Jeremy Duncans version, Joe Blow's "other special" version, ... More often than should happen problems are due to build environment issues. And when we start to look at various plugins, x264, XVid, FFMpeg, etc the issue just continually compounds.

You're right - seems my downloaded cut out after 116kB - fine now - how I love Megaupload!

(Why don't people use mediafire? No wait for free downloads there)

Cheers,
David.

Looks like 24p or maybe 30p, blended to 50i.

That's what I was thinking.. tho I am an amateur. Apparently someone tried restore24 on it and it fixed the problems, but unfortunantly I can't get it to run. So are there any other filters I could try?

Also I forgot about mediafire, ill keep it in mind in the future.
