I have updated this tutorial so the work flow should be simpler now. Thanks to the input of Mark_A_W of Doom9 forums
This is for those of us who want to experience the full audio resolution of some Blurays over analogue without having to fork out for an HDMI capable soundcard and a high end AV receiver. This work around is not without limitations but that aside, this work around only asks for roughly 30 minutes of your time before you view your chosen bluray film. This works on any soundcard over analogue or devices with HDMI which lack a PAP and thus are also subject to the 16/48 downsampling
Why do i need to do this you ask? Well for the reason of saving time. This method all you are doing is ripping the audio to your hard drive and playing it with the video still on the disc. You save on time and hard drive space (average flac file size is 2.5gb). I am sure none of you guys want to spend 1 to 2 hours ripping video and audio (or more re-encoding) just for it to eat up your hard drive space with video files up to 30GB
You only need to apply this workaround if the bluray you want to watch has a DTSHD-MA soundtrack that is more than 16bit/48khz. It is pointless doing this for a 16 bit/48khz DTSHD-MA audio track imho. Also you do not need this workaround for TrueHD audio since that can be done unmolested in real-time using Anydvdhd and Media Player Classic-HC
Some films on the bluray disc are split into multiple m2ts files while others just contain a single m2ts file for the whole film. You can apply this work around for films that are split over multiple m2ts (like King Kong) but you end up demuxing the video. With King Kong the whole process too me one hour and twenty minutes. Fortunately there are a lot more single m2ts films than multiple ones
What programs do I need
-AnydvdHD: Link (http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvdhd.html)
-Arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre Platinum Link (http://www.arcsoft.com/en-us/software_title.asp?ProductCode=TMT3P):
-Eac3to: Please follow this guide (http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1305733&postcount=7) to configure Eac3to to use Arcsoft's DTS HD decoder. Those files are in the Arcsoft directory so i am afraid you have to go and hunt for them but make sure you get all the files. I also recommend you copy the files to the Eac3to directory before you register the filter. You can use Directshow filter manager to register it Link (http://www.softella.com/dsfm/index.en.htm)
Eac3to (http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1004685&postcount=1)
-Another EAC3to GUI Plus: Link (http://www.curtpalme.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17002&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=0) Follow his guide as it also solves the multiple m2ts problem at the cost of more time
-Haili Media Splitter Link (http://haali.su/mkv/) I feel it is better if you use MPC-HC internal splitter
-Madflac: Decodes flac MadFlac (http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1051573&postcount=1)
-Media Player Classic Home Cinema Link (http://xvidvideo.ru/media-player-classic-home-cinema-x86-x64/)
Use this Guide (http://www.guru3d.com/article/accelerate-x264-1080p-movies-over-the-gpu-guide/) to configure MPC-HC for DVXA
What am I going to do
-I will use AnydvdHD to decrypt the Bluray disc in my drive in real-time
-Use Eac3to decode the DTS-MA audio to flac
-Playback the M2TS on the bluray disc using MPC-HC with the dub option for playing flac audio
AnydvdHD
Placing the disc in the drive with Anydvdhd running will decrypt the disc after a moment so just wait
Eac3To+Another EAC3to GUI Plus
You will be presented with this screen on when you first run the program so make sure you point it to the relevent paths

1. Click browse to go to the location of your optical drive and surf to <Optical Drive>BDMV\STREAM of your chosen film then click analyze. After a moment click on this (2) to select your film and it will automatically place the m2ts files in the Source Streem Files box. 3. Click add to batch. 4. Click command line to proceed.

Just untick everything except the lossless DTSHD-MA audio track and the click Run Command.

Decoding should take roughly 30 minutes depending on the film

Playback
I use Media Player Classic Home Cinema for almost all my videos. Install the latest build of MPC-HC and Madflac
Setting up Media Player Classic Home Cinema
Open the program by pressing O or View\Option
http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/4917/73950685.jpg (http://img121.imageshack.us/i/73950685.jpg/)
Browse to Internal Filters. Under source filters make sure that flac is unticked and mpeg ps/ts/pva is ticked (the reason for this is Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick videos don't open if the Haali splitter is enabled. I don't know why this is so, so for now use MPC-HC internal splitter). Under transform filter also un-tick flac but ensure that both instances of the H264/AVC and VC1 are ticked
http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/4268/74897433.jpg (http://img197.imageshack.us/i/74897433.jpg/)
Click OK
Playback on MPC-HC
We are ready to play the video from the bluray disc and audio from the flac file
Go to File then Open file
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/4116/83173823.jpg (http://img31.imageshack.us/i/83173823.jpg/)
Click Browse next to the Open tab and surf to that large file on your bluray disc. Then click Browse next to the dub tab and point that to your flac
Click OK and when the film starts stop playback
http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/2391/44310216.jpg (http://img535.imageshack.us/i/44310216.jpg/)
Go to Play, Audio and select the flac audio and hey presto, unmolested lossless audio
http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/1015/96863358.jpg (http://img109.imageshack.us/i/96863358.jpg/)
Click here to view Madflac's audio properties and confirm the films bit/sample and number of speaker channels
