I'm refering to the two "recalculate" boxes you get in encoding properties when you add job (recalculate video bitrate in audio, and reculate bitrate if need in the vido tab.)
What do they do? I avoided them to be on the safe side, but will I acheive a more accurate file size if I use them?
Thanks,

Generaly they check the size of the movie and re-calculate the bitrate. The one at the movie tab it re-calculates the bitrate after the subtitles encoding is finishes.Beacuse at the set-up of Gknot you don't calculate the subtitles with DRF 12 but as normal movies they are bigger in size(theoriticaly) an take more space. After you encode your subs you know how much(and they are less from the set-up)...The second is the same but at audio. It works only when you select a bitrate for the audio. When GKnot is done with the encoding of the audio it get's the true audio size and enter this to the calculator thus finding a new bitrate for the chooses size....
Hope that helps...
