I have tried to convert a 3h5 forgein film using both dix3 and 4 without success.
Divx4: crashed on 2nd pass.
Divx3: log attached. seems to have done 1st pass only.
I have tried using 2100M and 2750M file sizes. Failed with both.
It seems to convert if I do it in 2 parts. However, this is OTT.
I am burning in the english subtitles.
Are there any problems related to long movies?
Using package + .23 upgrade.
Any help greatly appreciated.

You may be running into the 2 GB file size limit of FAT32. If you're on NT, W2K, or XP, you can convert your partition to NTFS.
If you're on W95, W98, or WME ... FAT32 is as good as it gets.
You can either convert to NTFS or try 2 CD encodings instead.

LM, I'll ask again... What filesystem are you using?
Windows 9x can be FAT16 or FAT32. NT-based systems have additional choices.
If you are running Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows ME, you are limited to 2 GB files, and you must drop back from 3 CD encodings to 2 CD encodings.
LM

I'm using Win Me with FAT32.
Thanks for the tip.
I'll try a run tonight and keep within the 2GB limit.

Tried with limit set to 1999MB.
Still doesn't work. Maybe this is related to inability to compress within the 2G limit at the selected resolution with sharp bicubic.
I don't want to go below the 576 x 320.
I am now trying to do it in 2 parts to see if it will work to make sure I don't get near the 2GB limit.
