Hello!

Well, i have a problem with conversion between BlueRay and iPod MP4 Video in Megui(0.3.2).

Having been encoded, it has a bunch of noise.
The options that i used are here.

(P.S) Apparently, the original video is quite bright unlike other videos in my drive.
(not only bright, but even clear such as hot red, hot blue)

Well, so to speak, Harry Potter mainly has a dark color.
But, like High School Musical 2 or other videos that has a lot of bright color (Pink, Red, Blue and so on),
it also has a lot of bright color.

Should i give more bitrate when i encode these videos?
But, if so, file-size would increase greatly so that iPod can't handle it.

What can i do?

-------------------------------------
- Resolution: 480 x 272
- Encoding Mode: Automated 2pass
- Average Bitrate: 1500
- AVC Profile: Baseline
- AVC Level: Level 2.1
- Tunings: Default
- Deblocking: 0:0
- Nuumber of Reference Frames: 5
- P-frame Weighted Prediction: Smart
- VBV Buffer Size: 1000
- VBV Maximum Bitrate: 3000
- Nb of Frames for Lookahead: 60
- M.E. Algorithm: SATD Exhaustive
- Subpixel Refinement: 10 - QO - RD
-------------------------------------

which version ipod do you have? does the video have noise only on the ipod or playback on computer too? have you tried using the ipod preset that comes with megui? if so, what was the result of that?

if it supports 5ref, it should support 10000vbv

Of course, i can apply baseline 3.
Just, i mean if i set bitrate over 1500, its size increases greatly.

So, Even a video afftects iPod's capacity too much.
That's what i mean.

What can i do?
