View Full Version : Anyone got FFDShow to load in Win 7MC for Live TV

I'm at a loss, with this. Basically I'm trying to get FFDShow to be the default LiveTV decoder in 7MC for both MPEG2 & H264, the reason for my quest is that i own an ATI GFX card and BBC HD pixelates every 10 seconds or so.

Apart from the MS DVD-DTV Video decoder the only other single video decoder that I know of that can decode both in one hit is FFDShow. However no matter what I do, LiveTV will not load ffdshow into the graph.

It likes Cyberlinks sd/dvd decoder, mainconcepts mpeg2 decoder but not FFDShow.

I've tried every combination under the sun in the ffdshow video config, i also have raw video set at all supported.

The input pins to the MS decoder for type and sub type are mpeg2, the output pins are show YUY2 where they then feed into the EVR renderer. Further to this graph studio refuses to all ffdshow video decoder to be loaded into the remote graph.

Any advice would be welcome, i've spent 2 days on this now trying to find a solution to this.

Cheers

Dave

Have you applied the DirectShow source filter fix for Windows 7?!?

Until that's applied, no matter what you do with "graphs", you will be forced through the Media Foundation codecs (Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder in above graph = Media Foundation) ;)

Fix posted a few posts above this one by CLISD:
