Hi,
I've just noticed that for some reason on my system using the MS WMVideo Decoder for VC1 uses about 20% more CPU than using FFDShow WMV9.
Are there any drawbacks to using FFDShow WMV9 over the MS decoder for VC1?

No interlace support in ffdshow kills it for every Music Blu-ray using VC-1 out there, the Police - Certifiable for excample...

I thought that was only an issue when using Libavcodec for VC1 in FFDShow?

Right, sorry thats how i interpreted your question... ffdshow (and ofcourse libavcodec, why would you want to use the MS codec *inside* ffdshow ?) vs. MS WMVideo, but you meant MS WMV inside ffdshow vs. outside - right ? Sorry misunderstood you and i have no clue why there is a difference in CPU usage.
