View Full Version : Is there anyway to convert just the .ac3 to .mp3 in order to preview the language....

I selected the the 2nd .ac3 file for my encode, because that's the one my .ifo said was Japanese, but it turned out to be French after I was finished with the encode. Is there any way to just convert all the .ac3's before encoding so that I can manually preview them?

Thanks in advance,

I believe you can load each AC3 file into BeSweetGUI and press "Preview Wav". That'll tell you what language it is even without encoding it.

Thanks for the responses, I was able to play them in my ATI Multimedia Center. I'm trying to rip a 4 episode anime dvd and I found that all 4 of my .ac3's are in French. Why? How do I get the correct batch of 4 .ac3's? There aren't any options for choosing a language, so I'm lost. I know the DVD has options for either English, Japanese, French, or Spanish audio -- I want Japanese. Anyone know what I need to do?

Thanks,

If you use SmartRipper in Movie mode, you can then select a single .ac3 be demuxed in DVD2AVI rather than "demux all tracks."

Track 1 is 0x80, track 2 is 0x81, etc.

If you've got an ac3 filter ('layer') installed in windows,
you can just pre-hear your track in WMP (windows media player)
