Here's the scoop...
I downloaded several gigs of files from a site that offered video content on a DRM-licensed basis. The licenses expired, and when I went to renew the licenses... The site existed, but the payment processor was no longer available, meaning there was no way for me to pay for a new license.
I decided to be patient, hoping maybe the site would somehow fix itself, but it would soon become defunct and now is just a dead domain. I kept the files for a few years, hoping that there would be a solution to this dilemma, but I don't know anymore.
Are my files pretty much worthless?
