Hi,

I've tried to use MPC Audio Renderer for WASAPI audio output but all I got was staticy noise - is there anything else I need to change/set to make this work? (ATI 4550 w/ Realtek driver on W7).

Thanks!

Ok, I've set up the speaker configuration through the control panel and I now get sound, however the sound received by my amp is 44.1khz, which is what the Windows mixer defaulted to for my ATI 4550. So clearly not WASAPI. How can I bypass the Windows mixer with MPC Audio Renderer (which is what I thought this renderer was for)?

I'm having problems myself. I get no sound at all when it uses the MPC audio renderer. It only seems to be used on my system for AC3 passthrough (probably DTS too but I haven't been able to test it.) Nothing lights up on my AVR so I assume nothing is being output. Decoding to pcm seems to cause it to fall back the default system renderer.

I'm running Win 7 Ultimate RTM and am using my onboard sound (Realtek ALC888).
