I record from a sat one hd concert.
The record start as stereo , but the concert is dd5.1.
When i play my record all played perfectly, the concert i hear dd5.1

I tried import the file with adobe preimere cs4, but i cannot import.
I tried sony vegas beta too.
Then i use tsmuxer, to convert m2ts, but later when i import m2ts to premiere tere are just stereo audio.

How can i perfectly trim my record without re-encoding and with dd5.1 audio?

Thanks for help

I use HDTVtoMPEG2_v1.11.94, it will trim/cut into desired lengths, though no frame accurate, remove commercials, etc... It is free too.
Vidoe redo is not free, but more robust.

There are literally hundreds of causes, here the most pertinent:

1. the DVB standard allows not only non DVD/BD frame sizes, DARs and refresh rates, but also their mixing. The same is true for sound: the ads are usually AC-2 2.0 while the movies are either MP2 and/or AC-3 5.1.

This is the most probable cause for your problem.

2. some softwares still pose restrictions for "non-commercial" users, or use shortcuts based on the same assumption - if the first audio frame is AC-3 2.0 then the whole track is flagged as such (or even "corrected").

I do not use CS4 so I don't know if it behaves like this.

3. there are also transmission errors which may confuse some programs

however, since 1. is most probably your cause - I would use TS-Doctor for cutting, then multiAVCHD for authoring. TS-Doctor is "unknown"ware (its author has not yet made his mind whether it's a freeware, payware or shareware) and runs for 30 days. MultiAVCHD is donationware and it's no longer restricted in time.

At least this is how I do it (on the simple, since my ambitions are greater, they includ subtitles and multiaudio ;), that is there are also other programms involved and a slighty different path).
