Hi,
I'm using Scenarist and I would like to use both 4/3 and 16/9 video streams in the same project.
I have two video streams :
1 - Major company logo (4/3)
2 - the movie itself (16/9)
I would like to create a project that starts with the company logo and then switch directly to the movie.
How can I do it ?
Thanks

First of all, i am NOT a Scenarist expert (I learnt Maestro instead for the time-being).
...There is a >general< view that one cannot mix video types within a DVD authoring project/title. However, ripping certain commercial titles DOES illustrate that clearly this IS possible, and IS done, from time-to-time in commercial studios.
To the best of my (limited) knowledge on this particular issue, you will need to forcibly (i.e. manually, which is the norm in Scenarist anyway, whereas one has to take special action in Maestro) create SEPARATE VTS's (AKA "manual VTS allocation"), for each instance of a different video type, in order to circumvent certain issues in the DVD-authoring spec.
Please do not ask me for a tut on how to do this in Scenarist - I don't use the program! Never having used it, I would imagine that when you begin a project, you would creare a minimum of two VTS's, and then register/drag-and-drop your assets to each of these, being careful to keep all files of one type in one VTS, and vice-versa. THIS IS NOT GOSPEL, but please try it and let me know how you get on.

Just make each movie in its own title set, and it will see and preserve the correct aspect ratio's for each movie.

Into Scenarist, cause DVD specs, you cannot mix 4:3 and 16:9 format in the same title set. But you can create 99 title set, so, you can put your 16:9 movies in title set 1 (exemple) and 4:3 movies in title set 2. Another limit from DVD specs is audio set and subtitle: You need to have the same kind of subtitle and audio (5.1, 2.0, DTS etc) around the same title set. Maestro jump out this problems because it create a title set for EVERY movie. So, your navigation is a bit slow in respect to Scenarist.

But Maestro 2914 upwards allows MANUAL VTS allocation...
