First of all stick with Passi, if Prassi won't let you burn the disc then there is something wrong with the disc structure. Try downloading IFOEdit
http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/Forum/index.php4
register, sign in and go to the download area and get IFOEdit .82b2.
Run IFOEdit and open your newly ripped dvd's VIDEO_TS.IFO file. Then select "GET VTS Sectors". Sometimes (even if you don't change anything) you have to Get Sectors before it works right. If this still doesn't work then let us know what dvd's you are having a problem with.

OK I tried the same thing.
I have Highlander DVD wich is under 4.7GB to.
I ripped it using the latest DVD Decrypter.
And then I burned the AUDIO_TS and the VIDEO_TS folder to DVD-R using Derrow's Nero Burning guide.
Now when I play the DVD the copyright message scrolls over the screen (just like the original) but after that the disc stops spinning and nothing happens.
What am I forgetting here?
Does this have to do with "Get VTS Sectors"?
I thought it was only necesarry when you removed audio streams and extra's.

am I wrong or DVDDecrypter has an ISO mode? Is not it possible to burn an iso DVD image file with a DVD burner?

That would be great!
I'm just a newbie in this starting to pick things up, so when i make an ISO file with DVD-Decrypter and burn the ISO there should be a perfect 1:1 copy?
So it MUST work?

I tried the ISO option of DVD Decrypter but when the ISO reaches a size of 4.194.240kb it says not enoough disk space although my HD still has more than 7GB left.
Is this a limitation of max filesize in WinXP?
Even backing up a DVD < 4.7GB doesn't seem easy :(

well... I do have at this moment an ISO file of "The Mummy return" and it has 7.61GB. I am using winXP pro. Thus, there is no problem with the OS. However, if you are using fat32 instead of NTFS, you cannot make any file bigger than 4GB. So, the first step is to format a NTFS partition with 10GB of size at least.
btw: I don't have a DVDburner. Thus, I cannot test if an ISO file, smaller than 4.38GB (=4.7 bilions of B), created by DVDDecrypter, can be used to create an "on-the-fly" backup. However, this is the goal of its author. Thus, test if it works.

Finally my DVD-R's arrived.
Now here's how it worked.
Used DVD Decrypter to copy the DVD to my HD and then I used IfoEdit to Get VTS Sectors.
Burned it with VOB and voila it works :)
Thanks for the help guys.
Now I'm going to try to put a DVD-9 on a DVD-5 just the movie and one audio track and one subs.
Thanks Doom9 for all those great guides!
