Hi,
Well there are some information on the features of the "Next Generation Video Codec", like support only progressive scan, but my question is about the requirements of complexity:
"NGVC should be capable of operating with a complexity ranging from 50% to 3 times H.264/14496-10 High Profile.
When operated at a complexity of 50% compared to H.264/14496-10 High Profile, NGVC should provide a 25% bit rate savings compared to H.264/14496-10 High Profile at equivalent subjective quality."
Anyone here can suggest possible ways to achieve that ? And what are the expected consequences to current codecs?
Obs. My intention is to encourage discussion.
