... that's not in the same directory as the movie?

MediaPlayer Classic seems to lack a simple "Browse"-Button for audio. Auto-loading is great, but sometimes supplementary tracks, like commentaries, don't fit on the same CD or DVD.

I've so far found SMPlayer (http://speeddemosarchive.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=cf60db9e9a42be64f9bdede1c8120603&topic=7774.0), a little mplayer-based player with the missing button for my purpose, but my machine is too slow for it to handle hi-res x264 content without stuttering. Is there

1,) a smart DirectShow-based player with similar capabilities that allows me to use ffdshow (and the Matroska-bundle stream switcher)?

2,) or a plugin for MediaPlayer Classic that adds the missing "Browse to external audio track"-function?

Thanks for your suggestions, I'm still using ancient software like old Zoom Player and haven't looked around for new playthings in a long time.

MPC or MPC-HC with the "Open File..." dialogue rather than the "Quick Open File..." mode...

Thanks, you're a darling! I'd never really noticed that.

MV2Player (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Video-Players/MVPlayer.shtml) is also an option, it's a free, lightweight DirectShow player and packed with possibilities. Unfortunately, it didn't build a graph for the second (external) AC3 audio stream, and as a result that stream was mute. Maybe there is a simple fix.

BS player also seems to be able to load external audio, but since it's no longer free my enthusiasm has waned.
