View Full Version : mpc-hc 5.1 setup no sound on surround speakers

Hi guys i have 5.1 speakers and in mpc-hc i cant hear sound on surround speakers while in powerdvd everything is good.

What i need to do in detail so i can get my 5.1 on mpc-hc working can anyone tell me step by step?

View->Options->Internal Filters, check the following: AAC, AC3, DTS, LPCM, MPEG Audio, Vorbis (leave the others as-is), then double click any of them to get the following screen.

If that doesn't work, try AC3Filter or FFDShow, but setting them up will prove a little more complicated.

thanks will try, i thought that mpc-hc also depends on ffdshow settings? can you please tell me what speakers settings should be also for 5.1 in ffdshow?

It only uses ffdshow if you disable the internal decoders.

@pulsar hi partner it didnt work out, still no joy on rear speakers

@clsid can you tell me how to disable internal filters so i can try to see how ffdshow will work alone?

please if you guys can tell me any suggestion that i could try to solve this problem? im very grateful for your help till now.

if you're using spdif out use Spdifer. Go to ac3filter.net/projects/spdifer. Install as an external filter. Set SPDIF/DTS mode to auto - works great.
