View Full Version : K-lite (ffdshow) and virtualdub: no vfw?

When I was on XP sp3 32bit, I used to install k-lite codec pack, and I hadn't any issues with virtualdub.
Now I am on 7 x64, had installed k-lite 32bit and 64bit packages, and virtualdub states it can't find the compressor (dx50, xvid and so on), that means it can't find any VFW codec. This is strange because ffdshow should have both DS and VFW codecs.
Did something change in k-lite or in 7 x64?
Any solution or safe vfw dvx/xvid/x264 pack or any way to link Avidemux vfw codecs to virtualdub?

If you are using a different user account than the account you used to install ffdshow, then the decoding of DX50 is most likely disabled in ffdshow VFW interface. So make sure you enable all formats that ffdshow should handle.

The problem was apparently solved by installing the latest k-lite pack.
There wasn't any fvw interface panel before (how strange)
