Hi.

This is probably a very basic question, bit I just can't seem to find an answer.......

If I put a commercial DVD in my Sony DVD recorder - it starts up with a licence screen (all remote keys are disabled), moving on to the menu.

If I put my hand crafted DVD (using dvdauthor) in nothing plays unless I press "top menu" or "play".

I do have a "jump to the menu" in the First Play PGC, but rather than trying to work out what's wrong with my IFO structure, can anyone elighten me on what is specifc in the VIDEO_TS.IFO to produce the commercial DVD effect?

Many thanks!

You need to go back to the original authoring and let PgcEdit do the work for you. Use the Jump to PGC on DVD Insert function.

The original authoring might have commands which puts you in a circular loop unless certain registers have been set. Just replacing all the FP commands with a jump to the menu is insufficient!
