How can I convert a PAL menu to NTSC assuming that I know how to convert the video part and use vobblanker. I just need to know how to manipulate the hotpots for the buttons and convert the subtitle resolutions.

Try resizing your subpictures to 720 x 480

Try resizing your subpictures to 720 x 480
how would I do that? I need some exact procedures for even demultiplexing this stuff. I dont know very much about the menu in general. I have searched around and some people say to adjust the button hotspots, subtitle resolution and the chapter and song menu marker points because when the video is turned into 29.97 through pulldown and the menu is downsized to 720 x 480 then everything is skewed and the chapter points are messed up because of the frame rate. I need some easy to follow instructions on how to do all of this from A-Z if anyone can help me out. please. thanks

If you searched this forum you'd have found the answer, or at least a partial one (apparently there's a solution, but it was not yet published in form of a guide).

You beat me to it, mikenadia!
As a participant in one of those threads I'm hoping to find time to experiment with PAL to NTSC menu conversion. I don't really need it as I watch my converted DVDs on a PC but I'm interested in doing it for the learning exercise.
I'll be watching this space for any developments and will post any results I find.

I am always nice and I try to help people based on my experience (mostly in hardware, DVD and analog).
But I like that people do not ask generic questions without searching first. The last time when PAL<->NTSC menus issues were discussed was not even 1 month ago and it should have been shown by browsing a bit or by setting "From beginning".
Encouraging asking with "no search" would transform the forum, slowly in time, in an useless one, as it will be flooded with questions that were already answered, making very difficult the quest for the answer (for the people that do care to search), thus prompting everyone to ask, because nobody wants to spend hours to read and reread the same thing again and again and again (and still no new info). It's a vicious cycle.
I am also member of a Humax forum, and 6 times out of 10 appears the same question - nobody cares to search - the mods simply reply "Use the search function" and close the thread if the thread refuses to die from itself.

I have been searching for this topic on doom9 for the past two days ( not in one sitting ) and have not found any, somewhat, sequential way to go from PAL to NTSC menu and change the flags and all things required to do it properly. All I'm looking for is a guide or something which I can actually read and follow in some type of order. The thread that was posted about PAL to NTSC Menu's was half-filled with combat posts. Nothing I can really use from that unfortunately :(. Any help please.

Many thanks Manono! I'm looking forward to reading through this and having a go at it. Admittedly, my main plan is to "fool my DVD player", but I'm happy to see a comprehensive guide exists.
