When I make an AVI file from a DVD, sometimes the audio playback is slightly delayed. I use the AVIs in school for my classes because I can fit a bunch on a thumb drive. I can use the GOM player to compensate, but is there anything I can do to avoid this for the initial DVD to AVI conversion?

Please describe your full process, describing all the tools and what you do with them.

Usually I use either DVD Decryptor or DVD Shrink to get an ISO. Then I process with Ahead DVD to AVI, using Daemon tools as a DVD device. I usually set for x264 for imagery, and mp3 for audio.

You're unlikely to find any help here for an obscure commercial program. I suggest contacting the creators of the software.
