Ok, I have been using MeGUI for a long time and I don't mess around with settings so I would get the least problems. But I started using MeGUI on Win 7 64-Bit the past 2 months ago (Since Sept 09). I didn't remember having these problems until the past 3 days ago.

Problems:
- Let's say I just converted a job with megui. Then I want to make another job but I didn't setup up the 2nd job while I was doing the first job so I would load in the .avs on MeGUI (not in Avisynth Creator). Then MeGUI will hangs up. I thought my computer might be slow so I once tried to wait until the morning (about 10 hours) but it still was showing "Not responding ...".

- I don't usually shut down my computer most of the time. I had my computer up and ran with Vista for more than 3 months then I have to clean inside and stuff but I'm just trying to say not shutting down my PC for a long time isn't new to me. So I still do that with my new Win 7 64-Bit. I leave some files converting at night and I "Lock" my computer and power off my monitor. I "Lock" my computer by pressing the Windows button and L at the same time. Then when I check the conversions in the morning to see if they're done, NO! MeGUI hasn't even finish encoding the first pass. The speed was reduced to 0.01fps but when I started log back in, the speed goes back to my regular speed then tries to finish the first pass.

I have Kaspersky Internet Security 2010. MeGUI is not blocked by any firewall or my AV. Give me some advice what I should check. I'll post the answer if I get them solve. :thanks:

MeGUI is currently plagued by incompatibilities between various versions of its own settings and recent x264 builds. Kurtnoise is working essentially alone on it and is very pressed for time. Wait for rev 3.1.1058, revert to 3.1.1056 as a clean install, or in the meantime use another one of the GUIs featured in this subforum.

Do you have some power saving features enabled in the OS?

I am using build 1051. I don't know if updating it to 1056 will solve my problems or not but I kinda don't like the x264 config look on the new ones. They get more complicated or I am so used to the current one in 1051.

and the power saving is off, computer is set to never sleep itself.
