I used to process all my DVB-S TS streams using DGAVCIndex followed by MeGui but I have started getting problems. In some of the videos the final MKV created has been corrupted. Certain scenes brake up into blocks. These blocks are not there in the original TS Stream. I believe DGAVCIndex to be the cause becase when I play the TS stream through DGAVCIndex the blocking appears for the first time there.

I have uploaded a part of a TS stream which shows this issue. Please download.

Playing from the beginning the problem starts when the act is first introduced and the crowd appears.

Problems continue throughout the test stream.

I can overcome this problem by using Graphedit GRF file to force the use of a different decoder through the AVS file.

I am not sure what triggered this but I never experienced the problem during earlier processing of files, but it is now a frequent problem.

AFAIK, the version of libavcoded that DGAVCIndex uses is quite old, and can have problems decoding some streams. Nothing much you can do besides switching decoders: using DGIndexNV or DSS() with a recent ffdshow, or CoreAVC.

Yeah, but considering "I used to process all my DVB-S TS streams using DGAVCIndex" and then "but I have started getting problems", leads me to think it might be something else.

I have no idea what though.

Do the sources that used to work still work?
