Help...

This source is pretty craptacular. It's got the denoised and oversharpened look. I'm also willing to be it's been upscaled from some lesser master.

Any thoughts? I'll toss up a sample in a bit.

One of the worst BDs out there. I really don't think that can be saved.

Look at the 40 year old virgin, or Akira.

Both are absolutely horrible.

Is Akira really that bad? It had a weird sort of pixelly effect (for lack of a better term) around lines in some screen grabs I've saw, but I've not seen the thing in motion.

Agreed on 40 Year Old Virgin - looks like an SD master that's been fed to an edge adaptive scaler. An absolute joke.
