i am searching a dvd-authoring software with the
following features:

- animated background in the menu (movie)
- text as a button (or transparent button)
- 2 sub menus
- schould be able to handle .avi in dv-codec or mpeg2
created with premiere 6 (cce)/ tmpeg

here is a screenshot of how it looks: screenshot_2.jpg (http://www.arte-giardino.de/dvd/screenshot_2.jpg)
(the background is the movie and the text should be the buttons to
start the movies)

my problem realy is to find a proper software ... i bought roxio videopack 5
but it is realy not worth a cent! okok .. i could make some dvds but
the buttons and the menus etc. never worked the way i wanted ..
maybe its me .. but like i read i am not the only one :)

well .. which is the easiest to handle software for my needs?

best

The EASIEST (and joint best, next to Scenarist) is DVDMaestro - it'll do virtually anything in the DVDspec (although Scenarist will do even more), but will do it using an incredibly effective and intuitive GUI that will have you churning out high-standard authoring in just hours.

In terms of what you wish to achieve, Sonic's ReelDVD (actually engineered by Daikin - hey, credit where credit's due!!) would also suit your requirements, but is somewhat less intuitive than Maestro.
