Hello there can someone tell me is it worthit to get a dvd player that can play RM & RMVB ? Or should I get a RMVB HDD Player ? I know RMVB picture quality is not as good as xvid, but that does not matter for me. I just wanna know which one plays rmvb & xvid efeciently.

That's not correct. RV40 has in-loop deblocking and uses 4x4 transform. It beats xvid in both quality and encoding speed.

It beats xvid in both quality and encoding speed. On the other hand, it's notorious for its extreme blurring (due to using only a 4x4 transform and a strong loop filter). Since it has no psy optimizations of note, it has the same visual problems (relative to Xvid) that x264 did 2+ years ago.

Yes, you can set a higher value for CutOffQuant in "Inloop filter option". Setting it to 31 will completely turn off inloop filter.
