Tmpgenc does recognise mpv file

hi

after making a motion menu in tscv a requester comes
up asking me to name the file ie "mainmenu"with a suffix of.mpv

after tmpgenc has encoded that file i then have to
convert that file and encode it back to an mpg file
so that tscv will accept it when i want to load a new
menu in the Menu section.

why won't tmpenc encode a file that it has just encoded

got me stumped any idea's

thanx in advance.

(maybe i am doing it completely wrong)
