AutoGK crash

Hello,

I have been using AutoGK for years, but I have changed for a new PC, and it crashes everytime. This let me think that it is due to my config, but i do not see any pb !...

I use AutoGK 2.45 under XP-SP2 and AutoGK 2.55 under W7-64bits: in both cases it crashes, and more precisely VirtualDub crashes. It generates a "blue screen" causing a reboot of W7-64...

Under XP, Virtualdub stops during the conversion process.

Under W7-64 it crashes and reports and "memory access violation" due to the xvidcore module.

When I try to open the source MPEG file directly in VirtualDub, it gives mes the following error message:

MPEG-2 Import Filter: invalid Pack at position 3; marker bit not set; possibly MPEG-2 stream

I doubt the file is corrupted becasue it has just been generated by my Videoediting software (Magix VDL15 premium).

What would you recommend to me ?

I have solved the pb, by re-encoding the original video to a new MPEG-2 file.
It seems that the previous MPEG-2 I used was damaged, for an unknown reason, as it has been generated by my usual video editing soft....

AutoGK has successfully converted this second file, so unless a damaged file, I have no explanation.

It was not stated previously that you had problem with a single source, with this precision, the solution makes sense.

Avidemux is good for remuxing even-repairing Mpeg2 sources (vob included).
