View Full Version : Any future to converting MP4 to AVI with AutoGK?

I have several mp4 videos that were given to me by a guy who is SICK of mp4 - since he can't play them on his standalone. I can convert them with "Any DVD Converter" to DVD profile and then convert (again) to AVI using AutoGK.

I know the author of AutoGK doesn't care to associate AutoGK with MP4 until it is 'supported' in standalones. However, would he consider adding the 'container' option to convert TO Avi? It would be one of the finest acts of kindness of the year :-)

If AutoGK is simply destined to NOT convert MP4 to Avi's, does anyone know of a software which will convert MP4 to Avi (2-pass with the ability to set final file size - as does AutoGK) so I can avoid the multi-convert process? Just want a quality avi at 700 mb.

Thanks for any info.

AutoGK is not being actively developed, so probably not.

StaxRip should also be capable (needs .NET 3.5), latest version is here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1328281#post1328281), guides are here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=102652).
