Hello. I have gone through 3 burning programs and I now have 5 new coasters. Nero, Roxio, and Instant VOB are what i have used so far. I have American Pie 2 on my HD and it plays fine on power DVD. I have it at 4.3 GB. I am now trying to use Recordnow MAX which i was told is the same thing pretty much as PrimoDVD. Anyways i drag and drop my VIDEO_TS and my empty AUDIO_TS and then go to burn to a Ritek DVD-r and it errors out before the burn process begins. I have yet to make a compatable DVD to my standalone PAnasonic, or ps2 or xbox someone please tell me the prolem with the errors or another program i could use or something. Thanks
Jeff

Seems like many people are having problems with American Pie (you might be able to find an answer in one of the numerous AP2 threads). What error is RecordNow Max giving you? Typically if RecordNow or Primo won't burn your dvd then there is a problem with the dvd file structure. Make sure you are ripping according to Derrow's guides

personally, i haven't had any luck burning dvd movies with nero/vob/whatever (i never really pursued a fix though)...what I use is neoDVD 2.0, it's pretty damn good, all you do is select a dir that has your VIDEO_TS folder, select a volume label, and press record...what i've noticed however is if you haven't completely fixed the dir structure the program will either crash or just stop writing, and go straight to the lead out. I always burn all my movies onto DVD-RW first to test..

the dvd's play in everything i've thrown it into except my ps2 (i don't use my ps2 for movies anyway)

I used Derrows guides and what do u mean by the file structure is wrong, it plays fine on Power DVD, or will it play on there without it being fine. When i play it in my standalone, it will startup and like say its playing then after 1 or 2 seconds it tries relocating and then just stops playing. please help. thanks. I need them to also work in PS2 beause thats what i use at school..

Power dvd will play it even when it's not capable of playing in your stand alone. I havn't tried it but someone posted that the Matrox (maker of video cards) dvd player will give you more accurate testing to see if your stand alone will play it.

If RecordNow or Primo DVD won't play it then something is missing or off.
