I saw this patch at DS dairy (http://x264dev.multimedia.cx/?p=157) .

the patch has already commited :)

But x264.nl still has 1259 :eek:

Can someone tell a noob-end-user what are the benefits of this patch and when will it surface to the CLI and the Lib ?

I knew it was commited , but there is no new build at x264.nl nor Lord_Mulder's Libx264 page , although it was commited days ago ;)

What are you talking about? r1259 on x264.nl is the latest build from git. The quantization rounding aware patch was r1254.

It's completely up to Dark Shikari to post about his latest patches, he only recently started doing that so I wouldn't really be surprised if he didn't decide to do a (more public) write up of it.
