I have Muxman Pro (registered), which I use frequently for muxing/authoring prior to burning. I have used it once in a while for adding substreams also.

However, it is obvious to me that this app does a helluva lot more than this basic sort of stuff. But, for the life of me, I have no idea what it is truly capable of?

Is there a detailed, comprehensive guide out there? Like, a "manual"? It's about time I looked into this app more thoroughly, but I don't know where to start lol.

Hi!

A simple Googlesearch will get you to the author's homepage, at which you'll find the "Usage Guide"...

But try translating that gobbledygook!??

Does anyone actually USE Muxman Pro out there?

Yep, great tool! I use it quite often to mux my videos.

Wish it could multiplex Closed Captions into the GOP User Data. Hope a future version will be able to do this.

Muxman is for the strong ones ;-=

I use it sometimes, but not frequently, only in hard and straight cases,
so I am not strong enough all the time...

Muxman delivers the minimal approach, which is very demanding on the user-side,
but beautiful on the math side. Not as stable as desired yet.
The muxes are beautifully playable, audio packets evenly distributed.

I can only refer to setarip's suggestion, mpucoder is the one whom to ask.

If muxman would be extended to mux multiangle video streams...
Someone might be ready to build a nice GUI around this.
We might have a rock-solid and affordable DVD authoring engine then.
But given the speed of development it may take a bit longer...

But I confess, every time i have a go with muxman, I have to read everything again...

BTW, DVDLabPro can mux Closed Captions, you may look into mmbforums.com
(I can not try CC, I am in PAL land, but NTSC users have reported success after help from moonman)

A simpler (not complete) way to Muxman is to use BatchMux (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=116297&highlight=batchmux), which acts as a command line wrapper.

;)

I was fooling around with Muxman Pro recently, just testing out various things I don't normally touch. Man, this app seems to have some very advanced powerful features - motion thumbnails, button highlights, some weird compositing features etc, in fact a full DVD authoring suite by the looks of things! I really hope Mpucoder can rustle together a comprehensive manual one of these days. I'll keep fooling around with it, but to be honest I'm kinda lost!? I think a good comprehensive user's guide would let folk see what wonders this app is capable of and push a lot of sales Mpucoder's way...

DVD Studio Pro on the Mac can, I believe, also handle CC data (is anyone really still requesting it though?)

Has MuxMan an editing feature?
Can you cut part of the input files (M2V + Audio) before authoring to DVD? If so how?

Thanks.

Cheers

MuxMan premium and MuxMan pro have editing capability by way of the "start time" and "run length" for each clip.
