Hi everyone,

I have searched on the forum but I couldn't find so many things about MPEG-4 MVC coding for multiview images. Could anyone provide me any source about it?

One of the earlier posts, I saw that MPEG-4 MVC is based on AVC but it uses SEI messages. What are SEI messages? Could you please explain me how it works? Or any source.

Thank.

What are SEI messages? Read the AVC specifications. It's all in there.

Koliva, you're not alone to try to find more data about H264/V4, aka MVC.

=> See on ITU website (but you need to be member)
=> See on Fraunhofer website with Google, there are some nice pdf file.

Even though I have looked a lot, I couldn't find so much information about mpeg-4 multiview profile. What I have found is all about mpeg-2 multiview profile. Does anybody know what the difference is between mpeg-2 and mpeg-4 multiview profile?

As I have searched, MPEG has approved MVC. It is called, ITU-T Rec. H.264 & ISO/IEC 14996-10 Advanced Video Coding (AVC) standard on Multiview Video Coding. However, I could not reach this standard. Could anyone give me a link to see what this standart says in detail?

Thanks a lot.
