Used the same settings as before, but this cut turned out with the volume too low, don't know why.

Audio Mode = Decode audio
Samp Freq = 48999 Hz
Post Format= YV12
Filetering=Bressenham
Aspect 16/9 *
Pixel 1:1 VGA

Audio
Checked Dynamic Rang Compression, move toward Center [-------||-----]
Checked Nomalization, clicked Search
Checked Dolby Surround Downmix
Used 160Kbp
Length of video 59 minutes, used 1473 bit rate to fit on one CD

Did I overlook something?

or

was the compression to fit on one CD what killed the volume on my audio?

Note Input and Output was 29/FPS

Thx-

I think I made things worse, the default Audio channel is
the AC3 5_Channel and I encoded to 2-channel for my laptop.

Thus I think the combination of compressing to one CD and
taking the 5-channel for 2-channel output componded the
issue.

So if any one thinks this is not the problem let me know,
but in either case I've redone with 2-channel to 2-channel
and increased the bit rate to spread across two cd's and now
I have a nice video.

its just an issue with xmpeg, just normalize the audio and you are set
