I mean AGK support .ts sources but no .mkv in time. Many clips and so are now in mkv containers. To convert a mkv in time is very tricky, plz add mkv support in the next AGK version, thx.

No, many sources are not MKV containers. Many final encodes are. If your source is an MKV and you don't have the original then you're in Rule 6 territory.

Nope, you can get masses of free Trailers, Clips and so in .mkv, dount push me to an side im not comfrom!

I wish a function that AGK can Encode MKV to XviD whos the Prob? Many other Users want this too in know.

The Future is HD, but then you hav a XviD MMS standalone like me and you will use them on!? Tools like megui are to complicate and i like this AGK tool realy. Fine Work it is, i hope it can be walk on my way in the future but for this it must go in time.

It seems silly to ask for a program update just so you can watch trailers on your TV. Regardless, Rule 6 and this sticky (http://forum.doom9.org/announcement.php?f=6) clearly state with what materials we can and cannot assist you.

Hi,

My opinion is what people do of their encodes is their business, not mine.
I am not talking about rule 6 for sources, which gives work to a lot of mods already without AGK being updated.

Hagal, have a look at Handbrake. I really wish Len0x can spare some time to update his app that I have supported for many years but if not, we will need alternatives.

MeGUI supports MKV input. Should we forbid it here on Doom9?
Also, MakeMKV repacks original BD titles into MKV, I think. That is a source.

Hagal,
How do you go about converting mkv files at the moment?

I do it by using a program such as Super to convert them to AVI, but tell it to copy the existing mkv video stream rather than convert it.
Sometimes the audio is in a format AutoGK supports so you can do the same with it, if not I convert the audio to a wave file when creating the new AVI. By copying the video stream rather than converting it, it doesn't take very long.
I then use AutoGK to convert the new AVI with the HD video to XviD and the audio it contains to MP3. I also have ffdshow installed which does the DirectShow decoding for AutoGK.

If I remember correctly, the version of AVISynth which comes with AutoGK 2.55 was giving me errors while trying to convert any type of AVI, so I rolled back to the previous AVISynth version and it started working again.
