View Full Version : trying to insert the deleted scenes to the main movie...

Hello to the whoever who reads this ! response will be very appricated ..

Well , as the topic suggests - i'm trying to insert some deleted scenes that i have in their own avi file ( all scenes in one file) , and i have the main movie to which i want to add them ...
i'm using the microDVD Ini , and i'm not sure if there's a way to insert the scenes using the ini menu , if you do - feel free to share the knowledge with yours truly ... thanks !

Do you want to insert them permanently or on the fly?

The first could be done by cutting the 2 videos into the right pieces and combining them again to 1 file. VirtualDub can to both the cutting and the joining.

I think the second is not possible.

edit: I just got a new idea. You could cut the files into pieces as said above and then have 2 different playlists. 1 with the extra scenes and 1 without them. If you use .asx playlist files for this you should even be able to integrate this into the MDVD .ini file.

Sibe: thanks for the response , but I'm looking for an "on the fly" method...i'm sure it's out there..it shouldn't be too hard..
and UHT:I looked in the rules doc and there's nowhere else it suggesed i should post this question..

My second suggestion would be a "kind of" on the fly method. I don't think there's any other way to do this because it would require the first video file to stop then play a part from the second file an then continue the first file from the same position that it stopped. I don't think this is possible.

Since the original question asked something about a MicroDVD .ini file I don't think it's in the wrong forum.

I Don't think it should be that difficult ...I've got few ideas of implementing easily into microDVD ini file, but b4 i do this ,i was just wondering if anyone else had that problem too...
